About Us and The Reason for The Perimeter

John and Steph have opened their 100-acre property (30 Km East of Glen Innes NSW) up so they can help others who suffer PTSD within the Australian Military and First Responders Community. John and Steph fund this location with their own money, John served with 2nd 4th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment as part of the ODF (Operational Deployment Force) and also ADFA (Australian Defence Force Academy) until his Medical Discharge. John was injured in a grenade explosion during a live fire training accident at The School of Infantry on the 7th Feb 1989 and as a result years later now suffers from PTSD, it has been a long battle! John has also had to retire due to many injuries sustained whilst serving in The Australian Army.

John and Steph want to help others who are and have suffered. (CLICK HERE for more info with regards to that training accident).

John and Steph just could not sit back while we have Veterans and War Veterans dying due to PTSD. Something has to be done to give these Men and Women a place to re-charge, to re-connect with people they have served with. We have created a space that allows you to be a healthier version of yourself, to get back to a slow paced environment and centre yourself. These camps are run every 3 months, this gives the Veterans something to look forward to and aim towards. The Perimeter is not just for The Veteran Community in Northern NSW, it is for all Veterans across this Great Nation of Ours. The Perimeter is owned by John and Steph and fully funded by them also. They receive no money from any Government or Non Government Entities. John funds the camp by using a percentage of his DVA Pension to keep it running.
